This is motivated by the fact that this spatiotemporal information can easily be used as the basis for inferences for a person’s activities. We conduct large-scale experiments that show a significant improvement both in training time and generalization performance compared to sampling methods.
We show that convergence holds for a large class of online learning algorithms, inspired from the continuous-time replicator dynamics. Our paper on accelerated mirror descent in continuous and discrete time is selected for a spotlight presentation at NIPS.

A joint T1-T2 subspace is computed from an ensemble of simulated FSE signal evolutions, and linear combinations of the subspace coefficients are computed to generate synthetic T1-weighted and T2-weighted image contrasts.
